seven million in seven places

Although the Hong Kong republic is over 400 sq miles, most of its population live in seven centres of population. These centres are Hong Kong island, Kai Tak, Kwai Chung, Sha Tin, Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Shek Wu Hui.

The map below is from the book 'A History of Hong Kong' by Frank Welsh and shows these centres of population in shade.
